I should go to the sunday flea market more often. Here: a few of the things i got home with.

I spent all day preparing the first Sunday in Advent.

Afterwards I had some stranded friends over to have a first taste of it all.

(Only 3 weeks until I’m home.)

Some of us Erasmus students were invited by our french friends to go on a little day trip. Mainly because they’ve got cars and we don’t. But also because they wanted to show us what lies beyond the city we’re in. We started off in a supermarket in Clermont where we bought some food and then set off in 4 cars from there towards Saint-Nectaire. It’s a small little village with a beautiful roman church and an amazing cheese. After that we drove down to Lac Chambon which almost took my breath away. Mountains topped with a little bit of snow, autumn sun and a massive lake that made me realise once again how much i miss the water. We had a little picnic down there before we drove off to an old castle called Château Murol. The views were amazing and our tourguide was pretty special too. After all it was unbelievably nice to be out in the country again. Mountains, Lakes, Castles, Cheese…what more could you really ask for on a sunny Saturday?

It’s a nightmare. I miss being near the water. And I know what my flowers are going through.

Moving from the rainiest city in England to one of the driest in France was a really wise move I have to say.

When we were in Montferrand we came across this playground and just could not resist whatsoever.

I’m ill. again. People should think this is impossible but unfortunatly I’m not joking. God knows where this cold comes from and why it just doesn’t want to go away. The good thing is: My flatmate has got it as well so I’ve got an accomplice with whom I can eat my way through tons and tons of clementines.

Also, after weeks of uni and one holiday already my first lecture in “Interculturel” finally took place today and I for once left the building with a smile on my face, nevermind the rain.
