I just came across a very beautiful video of one of my favourite overtures played by the Berliner Philharmoniker in 1950. I remember listening to it in class when I must have been around 12 or 13 years old. I had to rush down the CD store the same day with my dad to find it, spend my pocket money on it and then I must have listened to it over and over again in my bedroom for days. I now know this piece by heart and it still gives me goosebumps but seeing this video just now left me speechless. Therefore I needed to share. Please give it a chance.
