Afterwards I had some stranded friends over to have a first taste of it all.

(Only 3 weeks until I’m home.)
around around auvergne
Some of us Erasmus students were invited by our french friends to go on a little day trip. Mainly because they’ve got cars and we don’t. But also because they wanted to show us what lies beyond the city we’re in. We started off in a supermarket in Clermont where we bought some food and then set off in 4 cars from there towards Saint-Nectaire. It’s a small little village with a beautiful roman church and an amazing cheese. After that we drove down to Lac Chambon which almost took my breath away. Mountains topped with a little bit of snow, autumn sun and a massive lake that made me realise once again how much i miss the water. We had a little picnic down there before we drove off to an old castle called Château Murol. The views were amazing and our tourguide was pretty special too. After all it was unbelievably nice to be out in the country again. Mountains, Lakes, Castles, Cheese…what more could you really ask for on a sunny Saturday?

beloved ones

„It is for this reason that most of us would rather love than be loved. Almost everyone wants to be the lover. And the curt truth is that, in a deep secret way, the state of being beloved is intolerable to many. The beloved fears and hates the lover, and with the best of reasons. For the lover is for ever trying to strip bare his beloved. The lover craves any possible relation with the beloved, even if this experience can cause him only pain.“
